What the extension accesses
To score a page and suggest alternatives, the extension reads, locally and only in your browser:
- the current page's address and the third-party resources it loads (to count trackers and classify infrastructure),
- cookies visible to the page (to count them),
- links and visible text on the page (to detect a privacy-policy link and GDPR mentions).
This information is used only to compute the on-screen score and is never sent anywhere. It is held in memory for the active tab and discarded when the tab is closed or reloaded.
What is stored
Your settings and any per-site "don't show" choices are stored with the browser's local extension storage on your device. If you enable auto-updates, a cached copy of the tool database is stored the same way. None of this is transmitted to us or anyone else.
Network requests
The extension makes no network requests by default. If you explicitly enable "Auto-update the tool list" and provide a URL, the extension will fetch that db.json file to refresh its list of tools. That is the only outbound request it can make, and it contains no personal data.
No tracking, no ads, no third parties
The extension contains no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs. It does not create an account or identify you.

Your rights (GDPR)
Because the extension does not collect or process personal data on any server, there is no personal data of yours for us to access, export, or delete under Articles 15–17 GDPR — none is ever received. Data that stays on your own device is governed by your browser's own storage and sync settings, which you control directly.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the "last updated" date above will change too. Material changes will also be noted in the extension's release notes.
